You can make a booking for building inspection here. Bookings can be made 1 day in advance.

Can I make a booking today?

If you need your house inspected today then please give us a call and we will see if we can fit you in.

Do I need to be at the inspection?

No. You do not need to be present at the inspection as long as someone can open the door and provide us full access to the property.

If you would like to be there for the inspection however, cannot, you can add in the notes that you would like a video call.

What happens once I have made a booking?

You will receive a confirmation email within the next 10 minutes. If you do not, please email us.
We will contact you again 1 day before the inspection to reconfirm the booking time and again 30-60 minutes before your inspection to let you know when our inspector will be arriving.

What happens after the inspection?

You will receive an email within 48 hours with a report excludes verbal inspections.

What can I expect from a building report?

Our comprehensive building reports will have an overview of what was inspected and any areas of concern. In the areas of concern, we will include images specifying where exactly it is, if it will be an issue in the future and what we recommend you need to do. You will find out whether the property you are looking at will be a big project that could involve seeking secondary accommodation or if you need to spend money on maintenance costs.

What makes a good building inspector?

Our building inspector is degree qualified in Architecture and Construction which means they do not require an LBP to be a Licenced Building Practitioner.
We have a accreditation with Building Officials Institute of New Zealand (BOINZ) and liability insurance which is recommended by consumer protection to make sure you are covered. So you can guarantee a great job by us.

What is a Written Building Inspection?

A Written Building Report is when the building inspector will go to the property and complete a thorough inspection of the property then send you a written report of the findings. This is ideal for people that need a prepurchase inspection for the bank or insurance. Seller's use this report to help buyer's make a more informed decision quicker if you are in a rush to sell your property.

What is a Verbal Building Inspection?

A Verbal Building Inspection is when the building inspector will go to the property and complete a thorough inspection of the property then verbally tell you on site whether there are any issues to be concerned about and what level of additional investment you may be looking at if you were to repair the problem. Note: you should always contact a specialist for a quote to gather the full extent of the problem. This is ideal for people looking for a verdict quickly.

If you need a written report later, please note; you will need to purchase it separately as we will not have any records of the property saved therefore we would need to visit the property and thoroughly inspect it again.
